In this new series from the Chicken Soup for the Soul inspirational series, animals demonstrate concepts of taking turns and celebrating differences. Jaguar and Sloth are friends even though one is fast and the other slow, and two penguins learn it is better to share. Both books rely on repetition and rhyme with the entire text in dialogue balloons, making these fun books for young toddlers to emergent readers. The full-color cartoonish artwork adds charm. The books end with a note to parents on how to extend the theme of each book.

Practice taking turns with two adorable penguin siblings in this sweet board book for young readers. The two penguins greet each other as they notice a sand globe in between them. One penguin with a yellow scarf reaches for the sand globe and the other penguin with green ear muffs reaches at the same time. The two pull back and forth and the sand globe falls to the ground. The sand globe has broken! The penguins feel sad. They decide to go outside of the igloo to play and spot a red sled. At first they both try to get on at the same time and end up sliding down the hill and bumping at the bottom. At the top of the hill again the two penguins figure out that taking turns will actually make the experience more fun! When their dad arrives home both penguins want to hug him at the same time and decide that sharing a group hug is nice! The book features a note to parents section at the back that is very informative and provides helpful information about encouraging children to take turns. The illustrations of a snowy winter wonderland are colorful and engaging for little ones. This is a must for any parent or caregiver of a toddler!
