Rebecca Caprara graduated from Cornell University and practiced architecture for several years, before shifting her focus from bricks to books. Her debut middle grade novel, The Magic of Melwick Orchard, was selected as a 2019 "Must Read" by the Massachusetts Book Awards. She is also the recipient of the Marguerite W. Davol Picture Book Manuscript Scholarship, as well as the Jane Yolen Scholarship from the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators.
Her forthcoming novels include Worst-Case Collin, a contemporary novel-in-verse to be published by Charlesbridge in Fall 2021; Mission: Multiverse, the first in a new SciFi series publishing in Spring 2021 with Abrams/Amulet; and Spin, a YA feminist reimagining of Ovid's myth of Arachne, coming in 2023 with S&S/Atheneum.
An avid globetrotter, she has lived in Italy, Singapore, and Canada. She is now growing roots in Massachusetts with her family.
