Gordy Wright is a freelance illustrator, printmaker and picture book maker from the UK. He grew up painting and drawing by the North Yorkshire moors and later moved to Bristol to study illustration at the University of the West of England, graduating with a first class honours.
His award-winning books include The Treasure Hunt; Great Carrier Reef; Secrets of the Dead; Sharks: A Mighty, Bite-y History; Strange But True; and Wild in the Streets. Gordy is now based in Glasgow, Scotland and works on a variety of publishing and editorial projects. He enjoys playing with narrative and aims to evoke a natural, textured feeling in his illustrations which are hand-painted in gouache, acrylic and inks.
